Approved domains

The domains and registration setting is where you can set the domains associated with your organization. Anyone who has an email address for one of these owned domains will join the workspace as an editor. This is an important first step in setting up your account. Once you’ve adjusted your login preferences and added any additional approved domains, members will be able to log into Coda by heading to coda.io and signing into Coda the way you have designated.

Advanced sharing settings

Enterprise customers have access to advanced sharing settings to control how docs, forms, folders, and Packs can be shared outside the organization. As an org admin, you can update your advanced sharing rules at any time from the organization settings console.

You have three options to choose from:

Allow public sharing.
Use custom sharing rules.
No external sharing.

Custom sharing is useful because it gives you flexibility to set the right balance between security and collaboration. You can prevent accidental oversharing by blocking risky domains in the blocked domains settings, make sure sensitive content is only shared with trusted partners in the trusted domains settings, or still allow external collaboration in a controlled, invite-only way. This way, you’re tailoring access rules to fit your organization’s security policies and business needs. Additionally, as an org admin, you can decide which sharing integrations—like Google, Azure AD, Outlook, or Slack—are available to your team. These integrations make it easier for members to invite the right people by pulling in contacts directly. If some tools aren’t relevant for your organization, you can turn those integrations off so they don’t appear in the share dialog. This not only streamlines the experience but also reduces confusion, improves security, and ensures your team is only using integrations that truly support your workflows.
