Publishing basic templates
Video walkthrough
Glenn's helpful walkthrough of the process outlined below.
(1) Choose prod or staging, depending on where you want to publish
Staging for internal only docs, prod for docs that you expect to be public on production.
(2) Create a doc, add a title and an icon
The doc title and icon are used to populate the title in the right panel.
(3) Share so that anyone at Coda can edit, and anyone with the link can view
First step in enabling this template to be seen by others.
(4) Move the doc into the Templates folder in the appropriate workspace.
(5) Find the doc in the admin console
Search for the title in the , click Use for in-doc examples , add description and save. (6) Your template should now be live!
Be sure to go back and ensure it's working as intended in a new doc.

Making updates to your drag and drop template
After you've made edits to the backing doc, they will appear automatically in the Template as seen from other docs. If you do not see edits flow through:
You may need to wait for background workflows to finish (no more than a few mins). The template doc may be on a newer schema version than the doc in which you’re trying to use it. There’s no great solution here, you just need to wait until your doc gets upgraded in the background (can take hours/days). In rare cases clicking Force Regenerate Example Data on the Template doc in the admin console might solve the problem.
