Databases 101

6 lessons, 15 minutes

Schema is the underlying organizational structure of your doc. Learn how to design your doc from the start, including how to construct your tables. Our tables function like databases, and they’re not just for engineers. A database is just a fancy word for a list of things and their attributes. In Excel, the smallest unit is a cell, hence why you'll find yourself calling on coordinates in your formulas. Since Superhuman Docs tables are databases at heart, the smallest unit is a row. What this buys you is the ability to take all of an item's contextual details with you, and to drag and drop rows and columns as you see fit.
